Foot Soak for Achy Feet

Do you want a remedy for your achy and uncomfortable feet that are begging for relief? If yes, then this Epsom salt soak is the perfect one for you.

Ingredients you will need:

  • ½ Cup of Epsom Salt
  • 10-20 drops of essential oil
  • Six tablespoons of carrier oil

Directions:

Step 1: Dissolve the Epsom salt in a tub of warm water.

Step 2: Now, combine the essential and carrier oils together. It is up to you whether you want to use peppermint, lavender or rosemary for the essential oil.

Step 3: Take the mixture of oil and add it to the bath.

Foot Soak for Dry Feet

A study done in 2017 indicated that the oil bath could improve the skin barrier function for those who have dry skin. As a result, people with dry skin may benefit from using this simple foot soak. In addition, it is also suitable for people with sensitive skin and eczema.

Ingredients you will need:

  • Some tablespoons of oil, for example jojoba or coconut oil
  • Colloidal oatmeal

Directions:

Step 1: Combine all the ingredients with the water and stir well.

Step 2: Soak your feet for at least 20 minutes.

Step 3: Pat dry with a towel

Step 4: Some people can also apply oil-based moisturizers afterwards, as the American Academy of Dermatology recommended the use moisturizers that contain ingredients such as jojoba oil, glycerine, lactic acid, hyaluronic acid, lanolin or shea butter.

Ingredients you will need:

  • Lukewarm water
  • ¼ cup filled with baking soda
  • Colloidal oatmeal

Directions:

Step 1: Fill up the tub with lukewarm water and add in the ingredients.

Step 2: Stir it well until the baking soda dissolves.

Step 3: Now, time to submerge your feet and soak for around fifteen minutes

Step 4: Pat dry with a towel

Step 5: And finally, you can also apply an oil-based moisturizer

Foot Soak for Exfoliation

  • 1–3 fresh lemons
  • 1–3 cups of vinegar, can be white or apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cups filled with Epsom salt

Directions:

Step 1: Put the vinegar in a tub filled with warm water.

Step 2: Now squeeze in the lemon juice

Step 3: Take the insides of the lemon peels and use them to gently clean toes and feet

Step 4: Rub the salt on your feet using light circular motions and then add it to the bath.

Step 5: After soaking your feet, use a pumice stone, exfoliating brush, or washcloth to remove the excess dead skin gently.

Foot Soak for Better Circulation

This revitalizing foot soak can help to stimulate your blood circulation, relieve stagnation, and bring your body into balance. Moreover, this foot soak contains essential oils that can help smooth blood flow, ease tension, and boost your mood.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1/2 cup ground or freshly grated ginger
  • 10-20 drops of essential oil
  • 6 tablespoons of carrier oil
  • Water

Directions:

Step 1: In a bowl, add some boiling water and the ginger

Step 2: Slowly put the mixture in a tub of water

Step 3: Mix the essential and carrier oils. It is up to you whether you want to use lemon, lemongrass or clary sage for the essential oil. Now add the mixture to the bath and enjoy the foot soak.
